Ancke Frieda Rörich was born on 21 December 1998 in Pretoria, South Africa.  She went to school in Johannesburg at Jan Celliers Primary School and St Mary's School for Girls.  During her school years, Ancke took piano and vocal lessons.  She also enjoyed being a member of the school choir.

Ancke enrolled in 2017 for a BMus degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, specialising in Jazz Vocals. In November 2020, Ancke had the opportunity to perform her Final Recital in the Wits Theatre as part of completing her degree.

In 2021, Ancke began her Postgraduate Diploma in Music Technology through Stellenbosch University.

Ancke kicked off the beginning of 2022 by releasing her first single i'll never know (if I never try). It's available on all streaming platforms and her YouTube channel.
