I went to watch Barbie this weekend and I left the movies feeling both healed from a lot of childhood trauma as a girl growing up in a society filled with ridiculous expectations but yet still filled with sadness because of it. This song by Billie Eilish perfectly depicts the feelings and questions that came up during the movie by both the male and female characters and it also reflects, I think, majority of society’s thoughts.
